Walker Sanders Busted Again

Remember Walker Sanders, the guy who took trips to Bermuda on the Greensboro taxpayers' dimes and then made the claim that he had raised $20 Million Dollars in private donations to build the Greensboro Performing Arts Center? From today's Greensboro News & Record:

"Ross Harris said. “We need some commitment from the council before we can actually go out and get those signed pledges (for private donations).”

In other words, the donations are hearsay at best and probably flat out lies just as most of Greensboro has believed all along.

“The task force is going to declare victory. We have done what we have been asked to do. We believe we have done it well,” Harris said. “Now we have to focus on raising private funds.”

Pretty big words coming from a woman who was paid $100,000 for her part as a volunteer on the GPAC Task Force. Well Walker Saunders, what have you got to say now that Ross Harris not only took your money but stabbed you and Robbie Perkins in the back.

You know, it might be time Robbie, Walker and Ross took up fishing as it appears building performing arts centers is simply beyond their mental capacity.

Look guys, I know the 3 of you don't like me but I really don't care. I'm smarter, I have better ideas and I care more about Greensboro than all 3 of you combined. I've even worked the last year for free just to beat you and make sure Greensboro gets what it deserves. None of you can make that claim.

For Pete's sake, Billy. Don't make it hard for people to support you. Please. You should retract that.

I'll happily retract it when Walker and Dabney provide evidence to the contrary, Roch. It was you who offered them the chance to do so and they refused.

Damnit, Billy. You don't make a wild accusation against somebody then demand they disprove it. That's beneath you and it will destroy the credibility you rightly have on other matters in the wink of an eye.

And, for the record, your recollection of the response I received from Dabny Sanders is also incorrect, although she was so petty, wildly inaccurate and accusatory in her reply to me, that I have also no interest in standing up for her other than to say you are wrong.

From my original post concerning Walker Sanders: "Is that Walker Sanders next to Lomax in Bermuda three weeks ago...the same Walker Sanders who's wife (Dabney) is in charge of the $24,000,000 Greenway...the same Greenway that just paid Lomax over $800,000? Just askin?"

Sanders and Lomax were both asked to shine some light on the subject, both refused to communicate with me-- why? I simply acted on a tip from someone who has proved to be reliable in other matters.

Then you gave them the chance to prove me wrong and they refused to take it. You were trying to prove me wrong. Dabney blew it!

I realize others don't like the way I do things but it's not unlike it's impossible for Sanders to prove his innocence if in fact he is innocent. And I have established a track record of going back and updating my posts to reflect my mistakes/accusations.

Sanders could still prove his innocence but chooses not to. You and others may not like the way I've worked for the last year but my success record stands for itself.

When Sanders decides he cares about what Greensboro thinks of him he'll get in touch. That is, unless he really is guilty. You see, no matter how much I dislike him I'm willing to admit my mistakes when he's willing to show me otherwise.
