As democracy is perfected,
the offices of the mayor and City Council represents,
more and more closely,
the inner soul of the people.
The cronies (rightists, developers, attorneys, Republicans) want fewer but bigger ones.
All the loot comes from Greensboro's voters who willingly give up both their money believing that, somehow, they are better off for it.
On some great and glorious day,
the plain folks of the land
will reach their heart’s desire at last
and Greensboro's elected leadership posts
will be occupied by downright fools
and/or complete narcissistic morons.
But the real winner is Greensboro's elite crowd which controls the candidates and continues to gain power and resources, regardless of matter which side wins.
