"the top 1 percent of North Carolinians saw average real income growth of 7.1 percent, while the bottom 99 percent saw their average real income decline by 0.6 percent"

So what did Greensboro's City Council do?

They raised taxes on our poorest for the richest

I pay about $60 per month, meaning mine will go up about $32.40 per year

The same household outside City limits is probably paying twice that

$120 x 0.085 = $10.2 x 12 = $122.40 per year for Guilford County etc... residents

Just in case you were misled...

That's how the game works

Tell the public some bullshit and get away with it, with the help of a compliant press who don't mind lying to the public for elected leaders
and campaign contributors whose income went up
while everyone else gets to pay for it
