The Solution To Greensboro's Homeless Problem

It's as simple as a change of law. And if it can't be done at the City level then the City should lobby the State and Federal governments for the necessary changes.

For clarification: the law there does not allow squatters to take the property away from property owners but simply allows the squatters to live in the homes until the property owners return the properties to use or sell the properties. In all honesty, this might be better for many property owners in this day and age when copper thieves tend to target empty homes and buildings for electrical wiring, copper pipe and air conditioners causing tens of thousands of Dollars in damages, sometimes to the point that it's more economical to simply destroy the home than repair the damages caused by ripping out walls, ceilings and floors to get to the copper.

We could house over 40 families within 3 tenths of a mile from my home. But hey, that would make sense and we can't have that, can we?
