Why Does The Greensboro Partnership Have So Many Names?

Are you aware that the Greensboro Partnership, the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Action Greensboro, Downtown Greensboro Incorporated and over a dozen other "non profits" and "non profit foundations" are all really one in the same? Mayor Perkins knows this all too well and yet he still supports these organizations with your tax dollars-- why?

There's only 2 reasons to use multiple names for the same organization:
1. To mislead the public and
2. To allow for multiple billing for management fees.

In the case of the a fore mentioned "non profits" both of those reasons have been well documented many times in recent months.

Misleading the public is most often done when the local media approaches at least 3 of the Greensboro Partnership's "member" organizations to solicit their opinions on local opinions but because all 3 answer to the same bosses they always agree making it seem to the public as if it's a good idea. Anyone remember the original reporting by the Greensboro News & Record on the Greensboro Performing Arts Center? All their quotes came from Greensboro Partnership member organization leaders and related foundations. So much for finding 3 unrelated sources. The News & Record Editors are also well aware that these are shell companies of the Greensboro Partnership but allow their reporters to run these stories anyway. Why?

John Hammer recently pointed out a gross example of how Greensboro Partnership organizations have engaged in double billing for many years now. Remember Betty Cone? The City of Greensboro paid Action Greensboro to pay Betty's "non profit" Grassroots to pay contractors to work on City Center Park owned by... this is too weird... Action Greensboro and the Bryan Foundation? What's up with that? Have no doubt, Action Greensboro and Grassroots both took "management fees" before the contractors were paid.

And to think, they call it non profit. ROTFLMAO!!!!!

For more, see my ongoing free online book, Exposing The Greensboro Partnership, boring as hell but worth the read. Especially the part about the Tannenbalm family. And don't forget to join us on Facebook at Real Progress for Greensboro and Impeach Robbie Perkins.

You know, the Internet works from almost anywhere these days. Isn't that really cool?
