Greensboro: Most Taxed City In North Carolina

So you still think Greensboro can afford to build a taxpayer funded downtown performing arts center, a playground for Greensboro's elites? Well check this out. According to this study titled Property Tax Rates and Selected User Fees for Major North Carolina Cities done by the City of Greensboro staff,

"Greensboro ranks as the highest cost per household when looking only at city property taxes."

And while the report notes:

"Finding: Communities sometimes shift the burden of funding municipal services away from the tax rate and toward other significant user fees; a good example is a privilege (business) license fee."

The minimum cost of a business of a privilege (business) license fee in Greensboro is $50 whereas in Burlington the minimum is only $10.

Also, please note, when the bonds come due on the dam scam the plummeting water sales are going to cause Greensboro's water and sewer rates to skyrocket!
