Zack Matheny's Wyndham Text Messages: Part 3

Previously when I began investigating the rumor that Greensboro Councilman Zack Matheny was in the business of selling incentive packages Councilman Matheny directed us towards the November closed sessions meetings in which he voiced concerns about the incentive package as his reasons for voting no. He alluded that these minutes would clear him of any wrongdoing. From the November 12 2013 minutes, all the concerns expressed by Councilman Matheny: You may enlarge any photo by clicking on it.

But one needs to remember, this was the original incentives request, the one that called for almost $8 Million Dollars in incentives and included a city funded parking garage. This wasn't the $1.975 Million Dollar incentive grant that was ultimately passed.

We continue with the minutes of the closed session on November 19, 2013 with Councilman Matheny's concerns:

Again, not the same incentive package that was passed on February 4th. Zack's e-mail to Roch Smith Jr. George Hartzman, myself and numerous other people specifically said and I quote:

"If you review the closed session notes from November that were released, it shows that I had concerns and wasn't supporting it then."

The notes released clearly show Zack expressed some concerns but a lack of support? Any lack of support is clearly not shown in the November closed session minutes as were sent to me by Zack Matheny himself. Perhaps Zack has a reading deficiency-- you know, as in he forgot to read them before he sent the first e-mail. Perhaps Zack would like to provide us with the non-redacted minutes as is perfectly legal in North Carolina or the audio recordings as I requested previously but have yet to receive?

And from the January 21st closed session minutes sent to me by Mr Matheny, the only two references to Councilman Matheny:

Why did Zack vote to send the incentive package to Council for a final vote then vote no if he had already made up his mind he was against it?

No, I'm not a cop, this isn't a court and I'm not a judge but Zack still has some 'splanin' to do if he wishes to be found innocent in the court of public opinion. And if Zack is believed to be guilty then others on city council will be thought guilty as well.
