Judge Henry Frye On Greensboro Performing Arts Center

"Notes from Task Force Meeting"
by Henry Frye

What are Performing Arts Centers, or PAC’s?

In short, they are, generally, SOB’s!

A place of entertainment, We all would say

for Shows, and Opera, and, of course, Ballet.

The community has two questions, if you please,

and on these two questions our consultant agrees.

If we build the Center, will they come?

And, how much will it cost for us to run?

in Durham what a wonderful feat! -

is one of the centers with which We must compete.

Our task force must study and suggest solutions

and hope the City Council will agree With our conclusions.

How long will it take to complete, by the way?

"We’re looking at 66 months from today!"
