Greensboro Plans To Rename High Point Road

Don't believe me? Click here. Going to be a lot of lost mail, lots of lost drivers, lots of lost deliveries, lots of new maps that need to be reprinted and lots of confused old people. Seriously folks, how long has it been and I still know old people who think Martin Luther King Jr Drive is still called Asheboro Street. Look, I know they probably want to name a street after Robbie Perkins or Jim Melvin but let's be real, it's been High Point Road for as long as there's been a town called High Point (1859) it's part of the history of Greensboro and Guilford County.

Seriously, aren't there better things our city workers and City Council could be spending their time on than insulting our neighbor to the south. After all, they still call their end of the road, Greensboro Road.
