Yesterday I mentioned that someone from the City of Greensboro was planning on wasting hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to rename High Point Road. Tonight I point you to pages 9-11 of the City Of Greensboro Street Naming and Addressing Manual as City Council does not have the authority to change the name of any city street on Council's vote alone. Public hearings are required. Also, the City of Greensboro may have to reimburse property owners for costs incurred by the name change, a cost not mentioned in the agenda proposal.
This is silly, Council would be crazy to waste any time at all on it.
