The little birdies are flying from Downtown again tonight with news of illegal commercial building going on in Greensboro.
The excited birdies are chirping like crazy but from what I can gather, Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins and Walter L "Butch" Simmons, Director of Engineering & Inspections for the City of Greensboro, met with Dean Green of Green Ford and the Greensboro Auto Auction at the auto auction some time back where the Mayor and Mr Simmons signed-off on allowing Mr Green to build an additional building for the auto auction allowing the following violations to go unnoticed.
No building permit.
No Certificate of Occupancy
No Sprinkler Systems
No building inspections.
No addition to property taxes.
According to the birdies, some unrest Downtown has now got Perkins and Simmons scrambling as they try to backdate the paperwork to make it look as if Dean Green's new building at the Greensboro Auto Auction was legal.
Calm down, Birdies, we'll get it all figured out.
By the way, Dean, how's Julie doing. I lost track of her when she moved off of Madison Avenue.
