Here Skip Alston feels the need to explain how he will get paid $150,000 for recruiting the same foreign investors he has already sold 5 convenience stores to. Why does he feel such a need? Guilt perhaps?
How do I know Skip is poised to get paid $150K for making a telephone call? Why Assistant City Manager Andy Scott told me so and I've got video, that's how. Hard work that recruiting foreign investors. Especially when you've already sold them 5 convenience stores.
Then there's George Carr. Like Skip Alston's foreign investors, Mr Carr and his investment group are hoping to throw the co-op out of the deal altogether. As a matter of fact: they've already got multiple grocers lined up and waiting.
Of course, we shouldn't forget that George Carr previously backed out on the contract with the City of Greensboro when he supposedly had a grocery store who never showed up. The City had even given him a 40 year interest free loan. How is it one of the richest men in town can get a 40 year interest free loan.
Look folks, I don't make this stuff up, the links prove what I say. And if I'm wrong then why doesn't the City of Greensboro reply to my e-mails to tell me I'm wrong? I'll post their replies. I'll even give them log in options to post for themselves. You know, if they're not scare of telling us the truth or at least a pack of lies we can quote them on.

You see, while Skip, Jim, Goldie, Diane, Robbie, George Carr, the Greensboro City Council and the rest of the players play the game, this is what it's really all about. In case you don't know, RFP means, request for proposals. It's the government's way of asking for bids.
The girl in the story George Hartzman told who sold plasma to feed her baby? She's my neighbor. The person who told George the story is the person who gave the girl a ride. That's life for thousands in East Greensboro and yet just 3 or 4 blocks away, Goldie, Skip and Jim rig the game while telling us how they're working for us.
Well I've got news for every politician, booster, community leader and so-called activist out there: If there's something in it for you then you're not doing it for us.
It's time the corruption ended. It's time Greensboro's leaders did the right thing. Crony capitalism is the #1 most dangerous threat to democracy and economic that any community can ever face. It stifles growth, concentrates power in the hands of a few and ushers in totalitarian Fascism and Communism-- the two most oppressive forms of government ever known to exist throughout history. No matter if you call yourself liberal or conservative you know crony capitalism is wrong and as un-American as it gets.
