Greensboro City Attourny, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan Unfit To Serve

One of the first tasks of the newly elected Greensboro City Council come next year will be to find a replacement for Greensboro City Attorney, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan. Perhaps even sooner. As an example of his inability or in this case refusal to do his job I present you with an e-mail thread in which he was asked to respond to questions concerning the illegal removal of Greensboro Mayoral Candidate, George Hartzman from the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (a Greensboro City park) for campaigning as is protected by the Supreme Court of the United States of America, 1938, Lovell v. Griffin.

It began with an e-mail from Mr Hartzman. If you click on the image it will display bigger.

The Guilford County Board of Elections weighs in in George's favor.

Still no reply from the City Attorney except to dodge the question:

Roch Smith Jr weighs in with more questions.
Why did Greensboro City Attorney, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan remove all those journalist, editors and influential people from the e-mail list? What was he trying to hide? Thanks to Roch for adding us all back to the list. Mujeeb denies his actions.
George is back.
Can you believe it, Mujeeb stalls again!
George asks another question:
Say what?

And still no answer from Greensboro City Attorney, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan.as to the question of campaigning on City owned parks even though the Supreme Court of the United States of America, 1938, Lovell v. Griffin. stated:

"4. A city ordinance forbidding as a nuisance the distribution, by hand or otherwise, of literature of any kind without first obtaining written permission from the City Manager, violates the Fourteenth Amendment; strikes at the very foundation of the freedom of the press by subjecting it to license and censorship. P. 450.

So held as applied to distribution of pamphlets and magazines in the nature of religious tracts.

5. The liberty of the press is not confined to newspapers and periodicals. It embraces pamphlets and leaflets. P. 452.

6. One who is prosecuted for disobeying a license ordinance which is void on its face may contest its validity without having sought a permit under it. P. 452. "

I think we know what is going on here. As usual supporters of the status quo are stalling,  hoping Greensboro's working class will give up the fight, roll over and die. Well here's some news for you Mr S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan: Greensboro's working class is educated, organized, pissed-off and ready to fight. We have access to the law and the media worldwide. And if you and your kind think you can continue to run Greensboro as Greensboro has been run for the last 100 years... Well click here and I think you will change your mind.

You can run but you cannot hide behind your lies.
