Greensboro Attempts Noise Ordance Against Bloggers And Social Media

The Downtown noise issues have been in the local media spotlight a lot lately but what happens in Greensboro when a local blogger begins to be read by too many citizens going into an upcoming election after 2 years of having been saddled with a failed and very unpopular Greensboro City Council? In Greensboro they send the Chief of Police himself to do their dirty work for them.

Now before I go any further, please allow me to say, I personally like Police Chief Ken Miller and I honor and respect the Greensboro Police Department. Problem is: Ken Miller and the rest of GPD's rank and file are forced to work for a bunch of rouges, thieves and con men who elected and unelected, run the City of Greensboro. This blog post and the links contained will prove that beyond any shadow of a doubt. We've all had bad bosses at one time or another. It's my hope that by telling this story and providing the following evidence we can all come together at the ballot boxes to help Chief Miller and those brave men and women who risk all to protect and serve, get better bosses who won't use police officers for their own personal means.

Before you read any farther, please read, Greensboro City Attorney, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan Unfit To Serve as background to see what prompted actions on the part of myself and others. There will be a link at the bottom of that post bringing you back to this page.

........

Now that you are back, please click on the image below to view the e-mail I recieved from GPD Cheif Ken Miller the next morning. Keep in mind the Cheif is acting upon orders from his panicking bosses and keep in mind that Greensboro City Attourny S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan has yet to answer the questions set forth in the e-mails made public in the previous post. Also keep in mind that rather than answering the questions, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan is already hatching a diversanary plot that I will outline below as sent to me by my Downtown spies. (Yes, Mujeeb, your office has been infiltrated, now which one is it?)

Mujeeb, being a lawyer, an officer of the court, sworn to uphold the laws of the State of North Carolina, knew I had broken no laws but he desperately needed a blog post to disappear from public view. So against Ken Miller's better judgement he pushes the issue until Chief Miller sends me the e-mail you see above. You'll note that Cheif Miller requests that I remove the post and not just the hyperlink with which he expresses concern. Obviously, the bigger concern is Mujeeb's and the City of Greensboro's reflection in the upcoming election. Problem is: other people were reading the e-mail thread and one of those people was former News & Record Assistant Editor and now North Carolina A&T University Journalism Professor? Instructor? Lex Alexander who wrote:

"I don't normally involve myself in local politics beyond voting (which I haven't missed doing since moving here 27 years ago), but violations of basic human and constitutional rights are a whole 'nother subject.

I mean, you've got to be kidding me, right? Tell me you didn't send that moronic email Billy Jones quotes you as having sent. There's nothing in Billy's blog post that comes anywhere CLOSE to the standard for threats defined by the Supreme Court in Brandenburg v. Ohio:

…the constitutional guarantees of free speech and free press do not permit a State to forbid or proscribe advocacy of the use of force or of law violation except where such advocacy is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action.

You owe him an apology, and you owe us, the citizens of Greensboro, better sense. If you can't muster it, resign. If you're actually this misinformed, you're just a lawsuit waiting to happen, and frankly, my tax dollars have better things to do than clean up your mess.

Sincerely,

Hooper "Lex" Alexander IV"

Correction: My mistake, in the comments below Lex Alexander indicates he does not work for NC A&T University.

Update: Lex Alexander chimes in with Police Chief Ken Miller, the First Amendment would like to see you

That's right, Brandenburg v. Ohio defines what is and what isn't a threat. I hate the fact that the Brandenburg v. Ohio ruling was based on a case involving the KKK but it is what it is and citizens everywhere, black, white, yellow, purple and green with Uncle Martin antenna protruding from their heads are protected from being railroaded via Brandenburg v. Ohio. Every police officer and every lawyer in this nation are trained to know Brandenburg v. Ohio.. I baited the hook for the fat little City Attourny on the take and the scared little bastard fell for it hook line and sinker. Had I broken any laws I would not be sitting at home typing this blog post on this very morning.

You see, folks, it's the criminals, those with something to hide that are perpetually scared. I've nothing to hide and no reason to be scared. My blog post made Mujeeb come to the realization that his actions can have real personal consequences. Because he is in the business of screwing Greensboro's working class it scares the shit out of him that Greensboro's working class might actually have untethered access to him and those he works with. And not just with people knowing where he lives. Near the end of this blog post you'll read what scares Mujeeb even more than citizens knowing where he lives.

The world is changing, Greensboro is changing. Greensboro's elites can no longer hide. I'm not a threat physically. I have the potential to be but as I told Chief Miller last night I manage it by having learned how to have a voice even if you don't like what I have to say. I've spent my entire adult life bouncing back and forth between being suicidal and homicidal but as long as I feel I have a voice I do neither. But what about all the potentially hundreds of guys just like me living right here in Greensboro who have the same thoughts, the same anger, the same pain, were the victims of the same crimes, got passed over for lesser qualified workers who knew somebody, got passed over because they were black or because they were white, got fired despite 100% perfect reviews so that their mid level manager boss could hire his sorry, no count brother-in-law..... and never learned how to express those voices?

All it takes is one of those guys to walk into a business, go postal, drive a truck filled with kerosene and fertelizer into city hall or shoot up a school house and Greensboro will never really recover.

And today, add a whole new list of reasons as to why people might do what Mujeeb used as an excuse to get Cheif Miller to try and intimidate me. Add young men who are racial profiled, who are approaching 30 years old and see men like Mujeeb and the rest of the elites living it up while they, themselves have never had a full time job if they've ever had a job. Add young people angered by a downtown curfew who look at a glisting downtown and wonder why they are not allowed there but Mujeeb is. Add young Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans who are very computer literate and able to make high explosives from the ingredients they find under your kitchen sink. Hell, I know how to turn wood into an explosive, what makes you think those guys can't do the same?

But none of that is really what scares Mujeeb the most. He could care less. At his request he can keep a manned GPD cruiser parked outside his home 24/7 for as long as he remains employed as Greensboro's City Attorney. The safety of S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan and his family are not his true concern.

They don't need me to tell them where Mujeeb or any of the rest of Greensboro's elites live, they already know how to look it up on the Internet. And every time Greensboro City Attorney, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan  and the rest of Greensboro's elites, media or elected officials come after or try to play down myself or any of the other dozens of alternative voices, be they young, old, black, white, liberal or conservative, those guys who already don't feel as if they have a voice of their own feel pushed that much closer to the edge and a little more desperate to act.

But that's not what is really scaring Mujeeb Shah-Khan. This is:
I suspect, if you'll check into it, the actions of Greensboro City Attourny, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan in this matter, using police resources to his own and political ends, are enough for him to be called before the NC Bar Association. Perhaps one of the lawyers reading this would like to forward this post. That is what S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan is most scared of. After all, without a license to practice law he and his family might be forced to live in a neighborhood very much like my own Northeast Greensboro neighborhood. And frankly, that would scare Mujeeb to death.

And finally, Greensboro City Attourny, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan's plan to dodge the original question is to claim the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market is no longer a part of the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department but the sign out front says otherwise. Being a moron is a common trait of criminals-- even educated, white collar criminals. But you see, I don't run scared. Thank you for our enlightening conversation last night, Chief Miller, I hope you remain chief of the Greensboro Police Department for a very long time. And I hope your new bosses respect and honor your position in ways your current bosses do not. After all, none of them ever stood in the line of fire or stood on the street with me at 4;00 am staring at the pool of blood on the asphalt where a young man was shot and bled to death just hours before.

No, my problem is not with GPD Chief Ken Miller who despite better judgement was just following orders. We all know what happened to Chief David Wray when he tried to do the right thing. The elites ran David out of town and attempted to destroy him altogether, they'd do the same to Ken Miller. I say let's get behind Ken Miller right now and demand that Greensboro City Attorney, S. Mujeeb Shah-Khan be fired for having used the Greensboro Police Department for his own means and the means of the Greensboro City Council members he is working to protect from their own wrongdoings.
