The Yvonne And Walter Johnson Saga: Part 7

The document Walter T Johnson--Reprimand, discussed in The Yvonne And Walter Johnson Saga: Part 6  wasn't the last time Walter Johnson, a lawyer by trade, would be at odds with the law.

In North Carolina State Bar vs Walter T Johnson Jr, Attorney  February 2004 then Greensboro City Councilwoman Yvonne Johnson's husband was being tried in Wake County before the North Carolina State Bar.

Mr Johnson had taken a total of $9,700 from numerous clients, found to have engaged in a pattern of misconduct, conduct motivated by selfish motive, caused actual harm to a number of clients and their families and various other violations too numerous to mention.

His law license was suspended for 3 years but stayed for 5 years provided he meet certain conditions.  More on those conditions when I return with The Yvonne And Walter Johnson Saga: Part 8.

In the meantime, Yvonne goes on to be elected Mayor of Greensboro and is appointed to serve on the board of the Golden Leaf Foundation making her one of the most powerful people in the entire state of North Carolina.
