Fish Kill Unreported In Greensboro?

On Friday the Greensboro News & Record reported that 2000 gallons of ethanol was spilled in Greensboro at Ryder Truck Rentals:

"Firefighters found fuel running across the parking lot and draining into a tributary of South Buffalo Creek, VanWert said."

In the comments to the article I expressed concerns that the ethanol might have made its way into Buffalo Creek which flows into the Haw River supplying water to Burlington, Durham, Chapel Hill and many other down stream North Carolina cities. This morning I got the following reply from a Ms Sarah Welborn:

Has a fish kill gone unreported by the City of Greensboro and the State of North Carolina? Considering the City of Greensboro's history of covering up illegal landfills I wouldn't at all be surprised.
