"Greensboro approves bond for coliseum improvements, construction for new basketball team"; No mention of Samet contributions to Hoffmann and Vaughan

"The Greensboro City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved issuing $20 million in limited obligation bond anticipation notes.

Without a public referendum

...Renovation and upfitting of the coliseum’s Pavilion area, which will become a fieldhouse for the Swarm, will get $5 million of that allocation.

For Nancy Vaughan and Nancy Hoffmann's campaign contributors; Samet Corporation

...Other improvements to the coliseum complex to be paid for by the bonds include:

A $775,000 renovation of the second floor of the Convention & Visitors Bureau Building, which will become the Swarm’s team offices.

No mention of the correlation between campaign contributions
and the award of the contracts;

Monday, April 4, 2016; Greensboro City Councilmember Nancy Hoffmann's Samet payoff for sliding $5,482,424.00 to Samet Corporation

No mention of who got the contract or why;

Improvements to coliseum parking and the addition of new parking at a cost of $395,000.

About $1.2 million in improvements to the coliseum’s north lobby and parking facilities.

Roof replacements for the arena, convention and visitor’s bureau building and special events center at a cost of $5 million.

Saturday, December 19, 2015; Heard Spice Cantina went under...along with a couple hundred thousand Greensboro taxpayer dollars

Still no mention from Greensboro's News and Record
noting Marty Kotis, Roy Carroll and the Koury clan's contributions
to both liberal City Council members and the bigots who voted for HB2;

Monday, February 15, 2016; Marty Kotis paying off Yvonne Johnson before she voted to give a $3 million building to Marty for $900,000

Monday, February 15, 2016; Marty Kotis' Tony Wilkins contribution before Tony voted to give Marty a $3 million building for $900,000

Should City Council members opposed to HB2
accept contributions from donors who supported the legislation in the shadows?

Thursday, February 18, 2016; Yvonne Johnson's Roy Carroll take

Thursday, February 25, 2016; Sharon Hightower's take from selling taxpayer owned property to Marty Kotis for pennies on the dollar

Tuesday, March 1, 2016; Sharon Hightower's Roy Carroll take via the Triad Good Government PAC

Jamal, Hoffmann, Vaughan, Barber, Outling, Hightower, Johnson and Abuzuaiter
took money from bigots who funded those who passed a bigoted hate law
and will probably keep taking their money to retain power
even though they will know it comes from patrons who are sipping the hatorade

Thursday, March 3, 2016; Nancy Hoffman's post election filing take from Roy Carroll via the Triad Good Government PAC

What does that make them?

What does it make the News and Record
for not calling out Carroll, Kotis and the Kourys?

Cowards in my view
