Greensboro makes another list and again it's bad news.
Maybe it's that fact that some many people are out of work and aren't getting enough exercise? Maybe it's the lack of healthy foods in Greensboro's vast food deserts? Maybe people aren't getting the medical care they need? Maybe it's something in Greensboro's water? I can't claim to know the answer but employers looking for a city filled with healthy workers will no doubt be looking for a way around Greensboro, North Carolina which is ranked as the 18th fattest city in America, the most obese country in the world.
As a matter of fact, the Greensboro- High Point Metro Area ranked fatter than any other city in North Carolina with Winston-Salem at a distant #42, Asheville at #43, Durham-Chapel Hill #53, Raleigh trailing at #59.
Healthy, fit workers are productive workers. It's going to be hard to attract employers to come to a city that ranks near the top in fat people. And so it is: Attention CEOs: Why You Don't Want To Bring Your Company And Your Family To Greensboro, North Carolina, AKA: Greensboro Sucks
