Prepare for Greensboro's crime rate to spike

"Thousands of people stand to lose food stamp benefits after a new federal requirement takes effect on April 1st.

The revised program officially began January 1st. From that date, non-disabled people ages 18-49 had 3 months to find work, volunteer or receive job-training. If a person does not fulfill these requirements each month, they will not receive food stamp benefits.

Will downtown Greensboro be more or less safe
for some monied white folks from relatively West Greensboro
who already fear walking down Elm Street at night by the end of 2016?

...110,000 people across the state still stand to lose food stamps. So, Greensboro Urban Ministry is preparing for more calls over the next couple of months."

to City Council's biggest campaign contributors like Marty Kotis and Roy Carroll
