Has no one stopped to wonder why Home Depot and Lowes position their stores next door to each other? The most successful chains in the world all understand that head to head competition increases profits for everyone involved. Look at Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, ORiley Auto Parts... Burger King, McDonalds, Tacobell, KFC... They all do everything in their power to locate next door to one another and all of them thrive. It's sad that Greensboro's established downtown restaurant owners are so backwards they are unable to recognize the formulas that make other businesses successful then look to government to solve their problems. The next thing you know they'll be asking for bailouts and DGI will be lobbying on their behalf.
What's that? DGI is already lobbying for more money?
