Those of you who get the News & Record delivered or the e-Edition can read Art-A-Fair raises money for Greensboro shelters and while that's a good thing, allow me to remind you that I tried to take it a step farther when I showed the Greensboro City Council how they could put those same people they're currently putting in winter-only shelters and putting back on the street come Spring, into year 'round houses of their very own at no additional expense to the City of Greensboro.
Can you think of any logical explanation as to why the City Council wouldn't want to adopt the plan Councilwoman Johnson publicly proclaimed as "...an excellent idea!" and the remainder of Council agreed with publicly at the Mayor's East Greensboro Summit? I can't either.
Remember: I told the Mayor I was flexible as to which non profit managed the project.
