The EH Glass Landfill was a privately owned landfill that operated next door to the White Street Landfill and closer to currently populated areas. It is classified as an inactive hazardous waste site. I knew Mr Glass when I was growing up and used to go fishing in his pond there and play on his construction equipment. His dump was used by the US Army and Vicks Chemical Company during a time when neither kept records of what they land-filled. The following is a link to the the report provided to City Council. Prior to his purchase of the property there was an open and unwatched dumping area there that anyone could use at no charge.
The report gives the EH Glass Landfill a clean bill of health.
