Anybody remember when the News 2 "debunked" the Greensboro restaurant tax and Councilman Robbie Perkins said, e whole discussion of the restaurant tax is absurd. "It's a non-event. It's something that was contrived and I think it was done purposefully, to impact this election."
Well guess what? Turns out the up and coming Mayor of Greensboro was lying all along. How do I know? Because the restaurant tax is one of the ways the Mayor plans to pay for his planned Greensboro Performing Arts Center as mentioned in the minutes from the 9/25/12 Finance Options Committee meeting.
If I've learned anything about Mayor Perkins, it's that if his mouth is moving you know he's lying.
