Suburbs of Self-Hate?

I've been reading the writing of Kristen Jeffers since her first blog post at The Black Urbanaist and always found her to be a gifted and thoughtful writer. And while I very much agree with her reasoning in Suburbs of Self-Hate?, the young Ms Jeffers leaves out the one thing that perhaps can only be known and understood by those of us who stayed behind and watched it all unfold. The real reason in happened then and continues to happen right here in Greensboro and elsewhere.
