Robbie Perkins on Voter ID

Mayor Robbie Perkins was quoted in the Greensboro News & Record:

"Regardless of political party, ethnicity and age, we have all come together to make it easier for citizens to enter the voting booth, where we all have an equal voice.

When the N.C. General Assembly reconvenes later this month, one of its first orders of business is to adopt a “Voter ID” bill. As it takes up this issue, I encourage our legislature to secure the progress we have made in recent decades by protecting, not dissuading, the vote."

Robbie Perkins was caught lying to Greensboro City Councilwoman Marikay Abuzuaiter just a month ago when he tried to fool her and other council members into thinking an endowment for a downtown park was dependent on the building of the Greensboro Performing Arts Center. All who attended the meeting that night or watched it on television know what I'm saying is true. Robbie Perkins lies more than he tells the truth. And saying the right thing once in a while doesn't make up for his many lies. From the same article:

"As a mayor working to steer Greensboro out of the Great Recession, I believe the last thing we need is another cost to our citizens — especially a cost related to the privilege of voting."

So Robme attempts to cost us over $60 Million Dollars we don't have and cannot raise to build a downtown performing arts center as a monument to Greensboro's rich elites? Can you not see the irony the two faced, sociopathic bastard is spitting out? Let's not cost the citizens any money unless Robme can figure out a way to turn a few bucks. Apparently there aren't any companies capable of printing voter ID cards calling up Robme's commercial real estate company, NAI Piedmont looking for a Greensboro location 'cause we all know the sick SOB would sell it to them in a heartbeat.

As a lifelong East Greensboro resident I can see right through this pathetic attempt to secure East Greensboro votes in the upcoming election. Please don't fall for Robme's lies again.
