What Robbie Perkins Didn't Tell You About His Megasite

I've known about this for months now. So has Robbie Perkins. You see, while Robbie has been busy trying to get the taxpayers to pay to build his megasite in Randolph County, Greensboro's own DH Griffin and Tim Booras are busy building a privately owned 1,625-acre megasite near Siler City.

I actually learned about the purchace of the land a couple of years ago from relatives of the previous owners who were speculating that Mr Griffin was going to put another scrapyard there. Knowing Mr Griffin has already owned substantial interests in scrapyards in Biscoe, Ashboro and Siler City I doubted that to be the case.

You see, Robbie doesn't care if the site never fills up. As a commercial realtor handling the buying transactions he gets paid commissions for each and every parcel of land his company helps local governments buy. It's quite possible that because the buying has already begun in Randolph County that Robbie Perkins and NAI Piedmont is already realizing a profit.

As for how Robbie Perkins knew of Mr Griffin's plans to build a megasite less than 10 miles from Robbie's proposed megasite? Robbie Perkins company, NAI Piedmont has been DH Griffin's commercial realtor of choice for many years now, NAI Piedmont signs can be found on DH Griffin properties all over North Carolina.

Good luck with your Megasite, DH. I hope you attract plenty of businesses there. Having known you for several years I've no doubt you'll fill it up while Robbie's site still sits empty. Believe me, when it comes to smart, Robbie can't hold a candle to DH Sr.
