If Greensboro's Leaders Were Really Interested In Economic Development 44

We'd be hearing Nancy Barakat Vaughan announce on Facebook that the Phillips Foundation had just granted 3.5 Million Dollars to economic development projects like the Renaissance Community Co-op and other such projects in economically depressed neighborhoods instead of penning their names to projects like the Downtown Greensboro Performing Arts Center designed to serve Greensboro's elites.

But then the Phillips Foundation is an arm of one of the largest slumlords in the Southeastern United States, Phillips Property Management, so why would anyone think they really cared about economic development?
