Greensboro Police Department Engages In Propaganda?

This is skewed: for starters, Greene Street has closed its rooftop venue and it makes the assumption that there will always be only 4 downtown clubs. It also assumes the downtown residences will hold their current values but if history is any indication, now that these elite downtown residents have become aware they are living in a majority black community, white flight will begin and downtown residential property values will drop by about 90%.

Then there's the issue of our local police department attaching their seal on items that are obviously political in nature and distributing those things to the Internet. Propaganda, I think it is called and I think propaganda is outside of the realm of what law enforcement is allowed to do.

Update: From the Greensboro Police Departmental Directives: http://www.greensboro-nc.gov/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=19522

1.5.17  Abuse of Position
D. Employees will take no part, either directly or indirectly, in sales promotions, solicitations, fund raising campaigns, or similar activities for personal gain or benefit of commercial enterprise while representing themselves as police officers or as employees of the GPD.

G. Employees will not interfere with or attempt to influence the lawful business of any person.

While it can be argued that there is no violation of directive 1.5.17 D in using Greensboro Police Department personnel to produce the document used to influence City Council's decision on the proposed noise ordinance there is without a doubt a violation of G. "Employees will not interfere with or attempt to influence the lawful business of any person." as stricter noise ordinances will have detrimental effects on several downtown businesses.

And you can pretty much bet I'll dig up more trouble for GPD and the Greensboro City Council before I'm done.
