Roch has the story. Mayor Robbie Perkins runs the machine. And the Greensboro Police Department are in-fact complicit while offering no proof of the "evidence" they cite.
Meanwhile, the Greensboro City Council has passes an unenforceable, unconstitutional Downtown curfew that targets poor, African-American teens in the very neighborhood in which they live while not imposing the same standard on other neighborhoods. All it takes is 3 people and one slick lawyer for a class action law suit. If only I could pass for 17.....
The facts of the matter: Roughly 600 kids got permission from their parents to go to downtown Greensboro to watch a free movie hosted by the City of Greensboro but as teenagers have done for generations, roughly 400 of those kids ditched the movie and set about to see Downtown all on their own. Kids did what kids do.
There were no riots. Every minute of video footage shown by every media outlet to date has yet to show a riot or a single fight. Children running away from the sound of a gun shot is not a riot. Children running from police to avoid arrest is not a riot. Black is not a riot.
And they wonder why people are angry...
