From today's News & Record editorial:
"But a regional solution that factors in advances such as waste-to-energy technology is a decades-long proposition that needs attention right now."
I was making that exact same argument before the White Street Landfill was closed. This city is being run by morons and the News & Record is in the morons' pockets. A waste-to-energy plant will become a major economic development center for which ever Piedmont Triad city that has the guts and foresight to build it first. All the other municipalities will eventually pay to use it.
