Will Robots Shop At Trader Joe's?

In today's News & Record, Cynthia Adams writes:

"The opposition to further development of the Friendly Avenue block adjacent to Friendly Center reminds me of the FedEx debacle. (Growth, yes, but not here! We don’t want the noise! Stay away, FedEx!) All the concerns were exaggerated, and who isn’t grateful for FedEx’s presence today?"

I find it interesting that Cynthia Adams brings up the FedEx debacle in relation to Trader Joe's considering that over $120 Million Dollars were spent to bring 1500 jobs and all FedEx hired was Robots. FedEx still employs the same number of people locally they employed 15 years ago-- about 250.

Ms Adams closes with:

"Will Greensboro be better off if Trader Joe’s walks away for good? Absolutely not!"

Well, Ms Adams, it's quite obvious now we would have all been better off without FedEx.
