How One Developer Looks At Food Deserts

Greensboro developer Marty Kotis writes his series, A Developer’s Approach to Solving Food Deserts beginning with Part 1.

Marty has been buying and developing properties throughout Greensboro for several years that other developers shun and doing it with great success while providing neighborhoods with the services they need most. As Marty points out in the comments to his post, these things take time,

"There are some short term objectives that can be accomplished, but this is a long term project. One of my redevelopment projects started in the early 90s and I’m still working on new aspects of it."

Successful developers, like successful cities, must think up long term sustainable plans.
