To make matters worse, the project Greensboro taxpayers payed to put electricity into isn't even located in Greensboro. The Carolina Corporate Center is located at 5440 Millstream Road, McLeansville, NC 27301 in Guilford County.
And while David Griffin Jr of DH Griffin Companies bought the Carolina Corporate Center in July of 2014, it was none other than SASCO 2008-C2 MBD HOLDINGS, LLC, a subsidiary of LEHMAN BROTHERS HOLDINGS INC. 1271 AVENUE OF THE AMERICAS NEW YORK NY 10020, who owned the property in 2011.
