Thanks to the unnamed staff here at EzGreensboro.com we have managed to get our hands on United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina dated February 16, 2016, indicating that a Mr Christopher Benjamin, an employee of Greensboro Parks and Recreation, is suing Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan, former Councilman Zack Matheny, City Manager Jim Westmoreland and others for discrimination following an on the job injury.
What is even more surprising is that Mr Benjamin is claiming that Zack Matheny used his position on City Council to help get Mr Benjamin a raise and then used threats and intimidation to force Mr Benjamin to vote for Mr Matheny
This is an interesting turn of events considering that just last night it was made known in a Greensboro City Council meeting that City employees had knowingly allowed Zack Matheny to change his bid on behalf of Downtown Greensboro Inc after the deadline for bidding had already been reached.
