According to a recent blog post by retired Greensboro Police Officer, Marc Ridgill, Whose Procedure? Whose Justice? Greensboro is second only to Los Angeles in per capita crime. I believe Nancy Barakat Vaughan and the rest of the Greensboro City Council need to be addressing this instead of wasting OUR time chasing every smoke and mirrors issue that comes along.
Could it be the long ignored economic failings of the Greensboro City Council are the root cause for this increase in crime?
We know unemployment in Greensboro is the highest in the state and hunger is a problem our City Council has only given lip service for years. Homelessness is at an all time high in Greensboro despite $Millions being given away to developers and non profits in the name of "affordable housing."
