John Hammer's Rhino Times Propaganda for Crooked Mike Barber; "Greensboro Needs a Barber on City Council"

"...The City Council terms for the first time are four years, which means if the voters believe they made a mistake, they don’t have the option of correcting that mistake in two years. The next City Council election will be in 2021, which sounds like a long way away.

Roy Carroll, Jim Melvin, Marty Kotis, Kaplan and Manning etc...,
don't want to go four years with Michelle Kennedy or Dave Wils,
as the two most likely to take out Barber
hopefully won't tow the crony line if one of them takes the third county wide spot on the dais

Greensboro is poised for a period of long overdue growth.

There are no reasons to suggest Greensboro is on the cusp of any economic growth,
as we lose manufacturing jobs and try to replace them with tourist spots
subsidized by taxpayers and skimmed by fine folks like Rhino Times owner Roy Carroll

Other cities in North Carolina have experienced far more growth than Greensboro in the past 10 years, but currently Greensboro has everything in place to take off, and what the city desperately needs is an engine to fuel that growth – and that means jobs.

Which Mike Barber and the rest of City Council has never provided

They provide hand outs paid for by everyone else to their campaign contributors
who provide low wage jobs without benefits
to those unlucky enough to work for those like Marty Kotis and the Koury clan

In this election, Greensboro can either choose to continue on the path we are on, which has a good chance of attracting the kind of industry Greensboro needs to provide that growth, or Greensboro can take a sharp turn to the left, which means taxes will skyrocket and industry will look elsewhere.

The incumbents raised our water and sewer taxes this year
to help pay for pipes to a pie in the sky "build it and they will come" Megasite project
outside the City limits

The incumbents voted to raise taxes this year,
and John Hammer and the News and Record covered for them with misinformation

It doesn't matter if they have to lie to get elected, as long as they keep their positions,
as our local press won't tell the public the truth before and after

Going forward, Greensboro needs At-large City Councilmember Mike Barber for four more years.

John Hammer just used a fallacy of Barber believing in low taxation
to justify getting Mike reelected, which is journalistic cowardice

The long term makes the reelection of Barber even more of a necessity for the future of Greensboro.

Mike Barber is Roy Carroll's bitch, along with the rest

Barber is the glue that holds this City Council together.

Mike helps the Nancy's keep the rest in line for Roy and friends,
who want to keep the taxpayer funded gravy train rolling for themselves
at the expense of those paying the bills

Barber doesn’t object to being the front man for an issue like giving police officers and firefighters raises...

Which took a tax increase John won't admit to now that the election is here

...when the lone Republican on the City Council Tony Wilkins needs votes, he goes to Barber.

Tony Wilkins is just as much of a pawn as Mike but worse,
as he never really won his spot, as he was appointed, just like Justin Outling and Goldie Wells

The reason is Barber knows how to get things done.

Mike knows how to line his own pockets

...Barber also played a major role as a city councilmember in getting the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) approved.

Mike Barber lied to the public on the Aquatic Center
which he openly admitted,
and should not be voted for, as he has, does and will continue to mislead the public
when it coincides with his personal financial best interests

...Barber is also the go-to guy for businesses that are having problems with the extreme regulation enforcement practiced by the city staff.

For Roy Carroll, Marty Kotis and the rest of our connected royalty

Greensboro is known as one of the most difficult cities in North Carolina for businesses to operate in, and the city needs someone to bring the city staff and business owners together to work out the issues in a manner that doesn’t chase the business owners away or to court.

Without Mike, those profiting from our current fcuked up system
won't be able to bypass it, like the rest of the businesses trying to compete

That's not efficiency, is crony capitalism John Hammer is advocating for more of

...the people who are building and providing jobs in this city know they can call on Barber when they have a problem at city hall.

What jobs?

We are not bringing in jobs other than new parking attendants,
restaurant servers and hotel room cleaners

We are in desperate need of new jobs in Greensboro.

Why is "Greensboro poised for a period of long overdue growth"
if we are "in desperate need of new jobs"?

Why would we want to keep the playing field for new businesses
tilted to folks like Roy Carroll with help from Mike Barber,
if his and the other 'leader's' leadership put us in a position in which we are desperate?

The closing of the White Oak plant is further proof that the old manufacturers for which Greensboro was known are gone and need to be replaced. Barber, as an at-large councilmember, represents the entire city and is needed to facilitate bringing in new industry.

Why would new industry want to operate in a City
controlled by a City Council like we have now,
which caters to the interests of Greensboro's old money
at the expense of real competition?

...The only possible way to pay for some of the social programs being promoted by Kennedy and Wils is to raise taxes on the people who are already paying the highest property tax rate of any comparable city in the state.

Taxes which Barber and the rest just voted to raise,
making John Hammer an amazing hypocrite and liar

...Greensboro doesn’t need to take a sharp turn left in this election.

It's not about taking a sharp left, it's about ridding the corruption John Hammer represents
from our local government

It is a time for Greensboro to continue on its current course..."

Of crony capitalism,
which embodies the motivations of one John Hammer for Roy Carroll
and all the other parasites sucking down our potential prosperity
