Greensboro Council Woman Yvonne Johnson's Financial Disclosure Form

I apologies that I'm unable to post this and the rest of the 2014 Greensboro City Council Disclosure Forms online as actual documents but it appears as if someone didn't want to make that easy for me to do as they were given to me as paper copies having been run through the copier so many times they would be impossible to read if they were to be scanned to online documents. I mean, for 2 years I've been getting links, e-mails and the occasional disk but never before have I been handed paper documents.

Councilwoman, Former Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem Yvonne Johnson doesn't own the house she and her husband Walter, a disbarred attorney live in-- that house belongs to their daughters. More about that in a later post. Yvonne and another woman I presume to be Yvonne's sister jointly own a second very modest home on Beech St here in Greensboro.

Of course, I didn't need a disclosure form to tell me that.

Yvonne lists her employment as the executive director of One Step Further, Inc, a non profit that does teen counseling and juvenile restitution for juvenile offenders. She lists no support from the City of Greensboro on her disclosure form.

From a City of Greensboro Public Information Release:

"Dear Billy:

Thank you for your recent PIRT # 3401 regarding Sentencing Alternative Center. You had asked for the funding info for the Sentencing Alternative Center.

Please see the response from Larry Davis (Budget and Evaluation) below. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

 Sincerely,

Sarah"

Here's the attached response Sarah is talking about:

"From: Davis, Larry

Subject: RE: PIRT Questions

I  think his question about “Sentencing Alternative Center” may actually be referring to One Step Further, an organization for which Mayor Pro Temp Johnson is Executive Director.  I asked finance to pull the vendor file for this organization.  They found four payments:

Feb 2003                              $2,500

May 2003                             $2,500

Feb 2012                              $100

Aug 2012                              $4,313

I’m not able to tell the purpose behind the 2003 payments.  The $100 payment in 2012 was for a city staff person to attend Mediator Training sponsored by One Step.  The $4,313 payment in 2012 was for a series of “Parent Talk” sessions provided by One Step.  Parks and Recreation was the department that contracted for the service.

Yvonne failed to disclose City of Greensboro funding for the non profit she runs and founded. Now you know why the Greensboro City Council refused to consider my plea in the video below.

There was another very strange thing about Councilwoman Johnson's disclosure form. Some council members listed their official city e-mail address, others listed personal e-mail addresses but when myself and others tried e-mailing Yvonne at the e-mail address she listed, gso@gmail.com the e-mail came back as:
