Progress Requires That We First End Corruption

A recent posting at the Facebook group, Progress For Greensboro complained, "I have to leave this group. It has become a haven for people pointing out the negative about our city vs. offering constructive ideas for "progress."

It was because of that attitude and the fact that the moderator(s) of that forum are in the habit of deleting threads that are critical of Greensboro's elite that I founded the unmoderated except for spam, Facebook forum REAL PROGRESS FOR GREENSBORO. You see, if the people who run this city cannot bear criticism then they are unfit to be in positions of power.

The Progress For Greensboro forum has quite the history. Problem is: it's been erased. Several of us remember a thread where Milton Kern went on the attack against other downtown business owners but when Uncle Milton began to lose the argument to the facts the thread was deleted. More recently, discussions about Betty Cone's non profit scandal simply evaporated. Fact is: the major purpose of the Progress For Greensboro forum seems to be the promotion of businesses.

So for those of you who think good things come from hiding the bad-- find another city to spread your lies. Greensboro will only improve when the corrupt are exposed and the corrupted are driven out. The politicians and elites who are driving this city into the ground will be exposed and driven out once and for all.

And when it comes to constructive ideas, there's only one we need pursue: Make Greensboro the safest and least corrupt city in America with the best schools and the young, cutting edge entrepreneurs will come here to raise their families in an environment that is safe, nurturing and rewarding for all who live here.
