Mayor Perkins Goes To The State Capitol

Well Kinda... Thanks to news first broke right here at East Greensboro Performing Arts Center, folks down at the state capitol now know who Mayor Robbie Perkins is. From The Raleigh Telegram:

"GREENSBORO – According to various media reports, the mayor of one of North Carolina’s largest cities is not only being pursued through legal actions by the Internal Revenue Service but is also being sued by his wife for child support, was recently sued by his father in law who alleged that he didn’t pay back a loan, and is undergoing foreclosure proceedings on his house.

Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins has come under scrutiny recently for a host of financial problems, as news of his cash flow issues has hit local newspapers and television stations in the Triad.

According to reports in the daily News & Record and The Rhinoceros Times, a weekly newspaper also located in Greensboro, Mayor Perkins allegedly owes the IRS back taxes. News reports state that the IRS has placed a lien on his property in an effort to recoup the taxes that the agency say are owed..."
