On Friday an effort began to build a Downtown Greensboro Aquarium. An online event was arranged and as of this posting 100 people have expressed their support. The Greensboro Aquarium Facebook Page has had 89 likes as of this posting. That's in just two days people.
How popular is the Greensboro Performing Arts Center? In almost a full year and over $300,000 in promotions with countless newspaper articles and television reports their Facebook page has 194 likes.
And the DGA crowd has yet to spend a penny of public or private money.
E-mail this post to the entire Greensboro City Council and nicely ask them to consider a downtown Greensboro Aquarium instead.
