Previously I might have been wrong about Robbie's Road but I sent this to Councilmembers about 3:00 yesterday calling it the smoking gun and as you might know it got pulled from the agenda last night:
Innsbrook Village recently announced their grand opening. It would be tragic if Roy Caroll's clientele were forced to follow McConnell road all the way through the Greensboro Ghetto to get to Downtown.
Of note: Innsbrook Village is not currently within the Greensboro City Limits. Hey, anything for Roy, right?
Roy Carroll recently threatened to quit investing in Greensboro. He paid $1.47 Million for the land Insbrook is built on when he bought it from the Clendinen family and others. Now he wants taxpayers to spend over $3 Million Dollars to build him a road across the A&T University Farm.
How is this economic development for anyone other than Roy and Robbie? Greensboro might be better off if Roy never "invested" another dime in Greensboro.
