And I'm not saying that they are. But if the Spartones were all axe murderers it would still be perfectly legal for them or any other group of convicted axe murderers to perform at First Fridays or any other event in Downtown Greensboro but the following people cannot entertain in Downtown Greensboro:
"No applicant shall be eligible for issuance or renewal of a privilege license under this section if the applicant or any member of a group applying for a license has been convicted of two (2) or more offenses within a period of five (5) years preceding the application where each offense involved an assault, communicating a threat, illegal use of a weapon or other act of violence or attempted violence."
Convicted rapists, con men, terrorists, child molesters, arsonist, suicide bombers, bank robbers, muggers, Jack, the Ripper... none of these criminals are banned from entertaining on the streets of Greensboro, North Carolina when hired for special events but but let someone walk onto the street playing a guitar without having gone through a background check and having bought and paid for a Buskers privilege license and the mob (Downtown Greensboro Incorporated) will send their goons (Greensboro Police Department) to carry them away to the new big house.
