The term "Perkins Derangement Syndrome" was coined a few years ago to describe Greensboro locals who were deranged with the idea that Robbie Perkins was somehow not the man his supporters claimed him to be. It was in-fact a derogatory term used to discredit anyone who might be a critic of then Greensboro City Councilman and now Mayor Robbie Perkins.
Problem is: For supporters of Robbie Perkins and for Mayor Perkins himself, time has proven the things we said about Robbie Perkins to be true: the man is simply unable to manage his personal affairs, his business affairs or the affairs of the City of Greensboro. He's been caught lying in public, attempted to infringe on citizens Constitutional rights, owes $Millions in personal debt, $Thousands in back taxes from many years ago, $Thousands in child support, tried to hide an extramarital affair and divorce, lost multiple law suits, was accused of forum shopping by judges, was fired from a bank under suspicious circumstances... There's hardly a day that goes by that the mayor isn't in the media for having screwed up again. And that's with a local media that remains sympathetic to the mayor-- think how bad the publicity would be if the local media actually did their jobs.
So in fact: if the things we were saying about the mayor all along were true-- and history has proven we were right-- then... Wait, let's look at some definitions, shall we?

Well it would look to any rational thinking outside observer that the only people suffering from Perkins Derangement Syndrome are Mayor Robbie Perkins and those who still support him. Anyone still supporting Robbie Perkins must surely be deranged and suffering from the real Perkins Derangement Syndrome.
