Drive-by Shootings Continue As City Council Reduces Police Hiring

Last Tuesday night the Greensboro City Council approved a budget that approved a reduction in the hiring of new police officers in Greensboro. Meanwhile, hardly a day goes by that I don't get e-mails such as the following delivered directly to my inbox. They call them Shooting Into A Occupied Dwelling but you and I know them as Drive-by shootings. Click on the image to view the e-mail full size.

This particular shooting wasn't in my neighborhood, luckily for us things have been better here in recent years than other neighborhoods including Downtown. But one only has to go a half mile or so to find a dangerous neighborhood from most anywhere in Greensboro. What company CEO would want to locate her children in a city were her children risk being shot to death in their sleep? But hey, Greensboro leaders don't care about economic development and the proof is in all the things they've never done.
