They'd be talking about pop-up promenades, urban markets, and university districts in places like Uptown, Glenwood, Bessemer, Heath, Rankin, O'Henry, Pomona and the many other under served and economically disadvantaged neighborhoods that all pay taxes to help incentivize and support Downtown but get nothing in return.
But we all know our leaders really don't care about economic development. They'd rather build roads we don't need and shopping centers filled with minimum wage jobs in communities like ours. Don't believe me? Have a look at the Tabb Study, the plans for East Greensboro.
Notes on the Tabb Study that prove my points.
