Downtown Greensboro Curfew Doesn't Curb Crime Throughout The Rest Of Greensboro

Proving once again the Greensboro City Council is more concerned with their precious Downtown that the vast majority of Greensboro, a press release from the Greensboro Police Department:

Shooting into Occupied Dwelling Update
Greensboro, NC (07 July 2013)

***Update:  Further investigation revealed that 307 O‘Ferrell Street was also struck by a bullet. The resident, Regina Brisban, black female 37 years of age, was present. There was no injury.

On July 7, 2013 at approximately 4:10 am, Officers responded to 305 O’ Ferrell Street in reference to a shooting into an occupied residence.

Once on the scene, Officers determined that the victim, Nancy Faison, black female 34 years of age, was sitting in her living room when she heard gunshots and bullets striking her house. The front of the residence was struck approximately five times by rounds from an unknown type of firearm. 

No one was injured. 

There is no suspect information at this time.

Eastern Division Patrol and CSI responded.

Shooting into Occupied Dwelling
Greensboro, NC (07 July 2013)

On July 6, 2013 at approximately 10:50 pm, Officers responded to 1505 Perkins Street Unit H in reference to a shooting into an occupied residence.

Once on the scene, Officers determined that two victims were inside the residence, but were not injured.  Unknown suspects fired one round from an undetermined type of firearm into the front of the residence.  There is no description of the suspect(s).  The victims were identified as Charles Johnson, B/M/22, and Jamel Baker, B/M/21.

Central Division Patrol and Central Division Downtown Units responded.

But wait, 1505 Perkins St is student housing at NC A&T. Is the curfew pushing this war right on to college campuses and into East Greensboro? So much for Robbie's road, he'll never get it now!
