Downtown Greensboro Curfew Must Me Moved Back To 9:00 PM, Maybe Earlier

From the Greensboro Police Department: Evidence the curfew is not making Downtown Greensboro safe for visitors.

 Robbery From Person

Greensboro, NC (June 13, 2013) On July 13 , 2013 at 9:29 p.m., Police were dispatched to the Bus Depot located at 236 East Washington Street in regard to a robbery of individual.

Police Officers were advised that Francisco Javier Salinas Leyva (33 years of age) was approached in the bathroom and assaulted by two subjects.  The assault was unprovoked and Mr. Leyva was robbed of his wallet and an undetermined amount of cash.

Lankford Security was able to detain one of the suspects who was identified as Letron D. Tyson B/M 27.  Mr. Tyson was arrested and transported to Guilford County Jail. He was charged with common law robbery.

Francisco Leyva received non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital and treated for those injuries.

The investigation is continuing in an effort to locate the other unidentified suspect.

Central Division Patrol, CSI and C I D, attended the scene.
