Greensboro's Railroaded Elections Run On Run On Sentences

Via Roch Smith Jr.

"Greensboro City Manager Denise Turner Roth announced last week that the city will be posting the records requests made by city council challengers, but not incumbents, to a special webpage on the city's website. Today, she confirms that this will apply only to challengers and that incumbents will not have their requests posted"

Previously the City Council voted and passed a resolution 8 to 1 forbidding this sort of action on the part of City Staff but City Staff breaks the rules and our current City Council, all desperate to keep their elected seats after 2 years of absolute failures, utter not one word in opposition to the actions of a rogue City Manager who works at Council's pleasure.

What sort of blackmail does Greensboro City Manager Denise Turner Roth have hanging over the heads of the 9 members of the Greensboro City Council?

In a e-mail, Greensboro Mayoral Candidate George Hartzman adds:

"To the incumbents; To say that something unfair is allowable because that's the way it's always been is not a valid argument against something unfair that can be easily fixed.  To say/do nothing is using your positions for personal advantage.

To the challengers; If Roch, Billy and I are the only ones who object, and you lose based on something you could have/should have known but didn't because you didn't speak up for yourselves, based on prior restraint implemented by our local entrenched establishment, you may be just as at fault as the status quo by staying silent in the face of institutional tyranny.

My guess is that was a run on sentence."

That's okay, George, run on sentences are minor infractions when compared to railroaded elections.
