Protest Petitions Still Not Dead

From the Durham Herald Sun:

"State senators have put forward a “regulatory reform” bill that, in contrast to the one proposed by the N.C. House, would preserve the rights that property owners have to formally protest a rezoning.

The wide-ranging measure, approved Friday by the Senate on a 26-7 vote, omits language suggested by the House that would repeal protest-petition rights that have been in place since 1923."

Locally you can thank NC Senator Pricey Harrison for this.

And as Keith mentions, none of Greensboro's media outlets wanted you to know. You reckon Robbie Perkins, Roy Carroll and the rest of Greensboro's elitist developers didn't want Pricey getting credit for her efforts to help the voters keep their homes and properties just the way you like them?

It ain't about left vs right no more, it's about right vs wrong. And Pricey is right.
