Walter Johnson was at one time chairman of the North Carolina Parole Commission. From the Greensboro News & Record, 26 February, 2005, State Disbars Attorney:
"Walter T. Johnson Jr. did not tell the client about the suspension or warn him that it would be "virtually impossible" to finish the man's criminal cases before the suspension took effect, the N.C. State Bar's Disciplinary Hearing Commission determined. The commission, the state agency that regulates the practice of law, also found that Johnson neglected several clients and didn't return some unearned legal fees. The disbarment was the latest in a series of sanctions by the commission against Johnson in recent years.
Johnson, who is married to Greensboro City Councilwoman Yvonne Johnson, did not return a phone message left at his home and his office number was disconnected Friday.Reached by phone, his wife said she would ask him to return a reporter's call."
While serving as parole commissioner the NC Court of appeals ruled that Walter Johnson was:
" ...wanton, reckless, malicious, and grossly negligent."
What kind of woman remains married to a man who would do things like that? My guess is only the worst kind of woman-- an accomplice.
And it wasn't just once, it was over a dozen times that the State Bar makes us aware of in documents available to the public. Documents like North Carolina State Bar vs Walter T Johnson July 2000 We'll talk about that document and others in future posts as well as crimes Yvonne and Walter thought they got away with... until now.
Had Walter T Johnson not been an attorney he would be spending his nights sleeping in a prison cell where he should be. Walter and Yvonne not only took advantage of the convicted criminals who they neglected and left behind bars but they also took advantage of their victims families, mothers, fathers, wives and children who scrimped, saved and did without, most of them already living in poverty so that Walter, Yvonne and their family could have anything they wanted, send their children to the best schools, get the good jobs, appointments to prestigious boards like North Carolina's Golden Leaf Foundation and elected to public office.
Walter Johnson, the first African-American graduate of Duke Law School and what does he do? He sells paroles as chairman of the North Carolina Parole Commission and takes money from clients he has no intention of representing while his wife remains faithfully at his side covering for him, lying under oath and even enabling Walter Johnson to rob his clients.
These are the skum that run our city and run it into the ground. It's time they paid us back.
Don't tell me to be nice to Yvonne, I've got the evidence to make my case and will be doing so as this series continues with The Yvonne And Walter Johnson Saga: Part 5.
